[MSIE6 - WinXP] :: Doesn't work right.

My internet explorer 6 on windows XP is not right, it
doesnt work on many sites and browser detection scripts say
"you need internet explorer 5.5 or above" alough its 6. can
i repair msie6 in any way? installing ie6sp1 didnt help.

i've also tried setting it default browser, that didnt help
- also reset web settings didnt work
