MSFrontpage purchased but now told trial

I purchesed MSFrontpage2003 in March of 2007. I've been using it for over two
years on my website. Last night when i went to update my webpages the
MSfp2003 told me it expired as a trial in sept 07. very bizarre. I've not had
a problem with frontpage at all before. I tried my system restore and it
still came up the same. I checked MS updates and found updates for office
2007 which I do not have. How can I return my MSfrontpage 2003 back to my
original BOUGHT MSfrontpage2003. I do have Ms foffice student home editon
2007 for my new laptop (I have not attempted to do remote desktop publishing
as yet so that should not have caused the problem). Can I install that MS
office 2007 on the main computer without damaging my files that I cannot
access right now due to this stupid "trial" thing. and will this help me
access my frontpage 2003?
thanks

Linda,

Let us not complicate the issue here. First, MS Frontpage 2003 is a completely
separate product from MS Office 2007. This being the case, installing MS Office
2007 will not solve your apparent problem.

When you get the message saying that the trial has expired, you normally get the
option to buy and enter the new serial number. Now since you have already bought
it, you should have the serial number on the sleeve cover of the CD. Do you
still have the sleeve cover with you?

When you have found the serial number, I suggest go to: HELP, ACTIVATE PRODUCT.
You should get the option to enter or re-enter the serial number and to activate
your product for indefinite use.

Please let us know when you have resolved this problem.

Best of luck.

Yes I understand that the two ms products are separate, however when I did
click on my MSfrontpage2003 it automatically came up in word from office 2007
which I have not bought for the desktop computer. There is an old trial
version from the original purchase of the computer that may still be on the
computer somewhere. However, I do not and have not used MS office on this
computer. But the updates show that 2007 office was updated and my
MSfrontpage2003 showed up as a word product. That's why I had originally
asked the question about the installation. I don't know why they are
interacting with each other after two years of my purchased product. In the
meantime I was able to resolve the issue by going to my index page on
msfp2003 and right clicking, I found it said open in, and I clicked the
MSfrontpage2003 html and my original program came back. I am assuming that it
is because of this MSoffice "update".
So if it happens again, I could just put the key in? (yes I keep all the
boxes and keys) without loosing any material on frontpage?
thanks for answering so quickly.

YES when you launch FP 2003, you should be able to re-enter the serial number so have
it handy ideally copied in a notepad so that you can copy and paste it when prompted.

Also, if you have the trial version of Office 2007, then I think you should remove it
from the system because you don't want unnecessary updates to come to your system
automatically!.

Hope this helps.

Actually, need to re-enter the product key.
