~msfl.usr; ~msfl.lck; ~msfl.sec etc ???

Have XP Pro/Office Pro2002 and run Metastock stock program happily since 2002.

Upgraded Metastock and now running a data maintenance program from my data
supplier I get a series of ~msfl files 'created' in data folders jamming
Metastock program.

My data supplier tech support simply tells me this problem is caused by my
OS (Windows) creating these files to read data and should delete them when
finished and not their problemo ... Metastock won't run.

Firstly, is my data supplier correct in that these are Windows system files ?

And secondly, how do I get Windows to delete them from my database when
finished?

All thoughts appreciated ...

The ~msfl.usr; ~msfl.lck; ~msfl.sec files will be created when you
open a chart in the MetaStock program. These files will not be created
by Windows and are not any system files. If you close a chart in
MetaStock then these files will be deleted automatically.
You can use other programs for reading and MetaStock files e.g.
SmartChart from http://www.trading-tools.com. Then these files will not
be created.
