MSDTC

Hi,

I wan to add Distributed Transaction Coordinator (MSDTC) service to my
runtime image manual. Iam not able to do it, MSDTC service start only if i
add the componnet to my base image and run FBA.

Kindly help me to solve the issue.

the reason is MSDTC have some other dependencies, if you do it manually
, you didin't get all the component. try to find it out all the
component it depends on, then add them all together.

Iam adding only MSDTC component to my existing SLX and after FBA it started
working. but if i do the same manualy . MSDTC service not started.

There is more to a component than just the files it contains, especially
components containing services.

when you add MSDTC into SLX, target designer pull all necessary
components, in the FBA phase, it register all the service in order for
it to work(update all kinds of registry). if you add MSDTC manually,
you have to add all dependencies and update all necessary registry.
