In windows xp when i made a msdos startup disk and try to
use it to start the system in dos. It gave me an error
message saying I O error replace disk. I think i have a
bad msdos boot sector. could someone tell me how to fix
this problem?

Hi Joe.
If you made the boot disk from Windows XP, there was either an error when
the disk was created, or the disk has bad sectors. Either try to create the
disk again, or try creating a boot disk using a different floppy.

Diskettes cost pennies and aren't worth trying to fix. Just make
a new one.
