I still can't find a solution to my msconfig problem.
When I select msconfig in XP Pro, I immediately get the
error message that the program has to close and am
offered the choice of sending or not sending a report.
It never actually loads. I ran a scan for viruses, none
were found, my updates are done everyday using Symantec
Corporate 8.1. I tried to use the msconfig in the
ServicePackFiles\i386 folder, but had the same result.
As far as I can tell, everything else runs fine. I have
a P4 with 1 GB RAM, disks defragged, disk cleanup
performed, even checked system files for corruption, but
still have the problem. Does anyone else have an idea of
what I should do next to determine the problem?
