when i run msconfig to open system cofig. utility i click on the tab that says startup. in that tab it shows all programs that will be started when windows is started. the question i have is there anyway to delete out the old programs that dont need to be started or that are no longer loaded to the computer such as the msblast virus program. just looking to clean things up a bit.

Hi,

Start/run regedit, remove the dead strings from:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Shared Tools\MSConfig
