These items are listed by the startup tab of msconfig. NvCpl, jusched,
ashDisp, zlclient, gcasServ, ctfmon. Are any of these essential for a smooth
start up? Using XP Home Edition.

And what does the location of these items tell you?
One is from ZoneAlarm, another could be Nvidea, you can google for the rest,
or examine their locations

The way to get those answers is to do a Google search for each name. I'll
save you a bit of time and tell you what each thing is but if you want more
details, Google the names and then you can decide if you want to have them
running at startup.

NVCpl - belongs to Nvidia graphics card. Not necessary to have in Startup.
jusched - Java Updater.
ashDisp - part of Avast! Antivirus - leave at startup!
zlclient - part of ZoneLabs security software
gcasServ - Windows Defender
ctfmon - connected with MS Office and mysteriously appears after installing
IE7 even if you don't have Office installed.
