Hi,
Yesterday I was trying to resolve a customer's 3 PC
network where 1 PC had 6 trojans & 14 virus' (as detected
by Norton Antivirus Pro), 1 PC had had boot info wiped &
required fresh install (with C: 8MB parttion lost by
windows somewhere), but my problem is the 3rd PC.
On attemtping to install Norton onto it I received a
message along the lines of 'MSI required to install this
programme'. So in an attempt to manually track down the
existence of any of the *fixed* trojans/viruses from other
PC I tried to open BOOT.ini for SafeMode Re-boot(My
Computer/Properties) & MSConfig to Turn Off System Restore
(via Command Prompt) & also Regedit. Each attempt resulted
in the appropriate screen opening briefly & then
automatically closing within a second or 2.
What's my next step please?
