This is an activex control distributed with some Windows programs (and in
some development programs). From what I could find out about the file, it
is related to date/time objects. I have had Office XP and 2003 installed on
this XP computer and don't see it in my files. The MS Knowledge Base does
mention it in an Access 2000 document.
The only MS download that I could find that references this file is
"50comupd.exe" which contains all of the common controls. If you search the
MS site for that name, it will bring up this download page
