".msbcm" file vs ".bcm"

When I back up the database the file is saved as .msbcm, but outlook only
offers me the opportunity to open a .bcm file....How can I correct this issue.

Oh, And why do my folders keep disappearing when I log off?

..msbcm files are backups of the BCM database. You create and restore
databases from menu Business Tools|Manage Database

..bcm are BCM export files. You can import and export files from menu
File|Importband Export|BCM.
