Lately, I have been getting a window that pops up telling me that msbb.exe has
encountered a problem and needs to close. And wants me to send an error report.
Is this legit or do I have a bug?

It is possible that you have spyware on your computer

XP has an error reporting tool that is enabled by default. If you have the
MSBB bug it could be causing a crash in which case XP is asking if you want
and error report sent to Microsoft which may help them understand what
causes XP to crash. Do a search in Start->Help and Support for "error
reporting." You can turn this tool off by right clicking My Computer and
selecting Properties->Advanced Tab->Error Reporting button.
