MSAS is slowing down Windows Explorer

Hi,
If Realtime Protection is active, then opening & browsing
through WINDOWS-Explorer is slow like hell.
Is this a bug in MSAS or is the problem at my side ?

I have the older builds running without issue on 300 mhz machines (usually
with more than 256 megs of ram.)

This kind of performance issue has been posted periodically throughout the
beta--I think it is an individual machine issue, and would suggest
uninstalling, deleting the contents of the installation folder, rebooting,
and reinstalling--and see if the behavior improves.

My machine is 1GHz with 512 MB memory.
And I have tried your suggestions already several times
in the past.
Still no progress with version 614 though !

Are there other real-time scanning apps active at the same time?

Can you pause or shut down other running software to see if we can spot what
might be conflicting? Using MSCONFIG and going to a clean boot setting and
adding in items one by one is one approach. May be time consuming, I'm
afraid.
