MS08-074 and MS09-065

I keep getting these two as vulnerabilities. When I have checked them there
are supposed to be repairs for them in Microsoft update but then when I read
further there has been some difficulties with them and people have had a
problem. I hesitate to download them and then create more problems. Does
anyone know if it is essential to download them or can I just live with the
vulnerabilities and check weekly for problems. I also have the firewall set
up.

Best I can tell they're for rather special situations that the normal user
will seldom encounter. I've never seen an MS update for them but I have
seen them refrenced in the KBs for download: That's where I found out
they're for specialized situations. My Norton AV has detected something
about the MS50x stuff before but nothing ever got past it that I know of.
Try a search in the KBs for it; I didn't keep them so have nothign to
offer.
