After applying the patch for MS03-045, we've noticed some
changes that are affecting our software builds.
Previously, doing Start..Run..cmd, or going to
Programs..Accessories..Command Prompt would open the
window at the C:\ prompt. Now it opens it in C:\Documents
and Settings\pault. Apparently the patch modified the
%HOMEPATH% variable, where before it was empty.
We also found that LIB and INCLUDE variables were no
longer being set correctly on one machine. It looks like
an empty variable value for these in the user variables
section was overriding the correct setting in the system
variable section. Before the patch, the variables were
additive.
Any body have any info on what's going on?
Thanks,
Paul T.
