MS03-033 (MDAC 2.5) does NOT install on W2kServer SP4

Hi!

just applied MS03-033 (MDAC) to all of our servers (W2kServer).
All servers running mdac 2.6 and 2.7 updated successful, but NOT the ones
running mdac 2.5SP3.

The workstations (W2kPro) running MDAC 2.5SP3 updated successful too....so
dunno where to look for a solution

Any hints ?

Maybe just one DLL beeing newer than one from the patch. I have the same
problem with a mediaplayer update. My DLL version is something like 6.6195,
and the one from the patch 6.6194 (not real version number, it's just
something like that).

I left this aside, but if you want to be sure, maybe you can try to rename
your DLL and see if the patch installs or not? Or maybe try to find an old
version of the file and then patch it?
