MS XPS Document Writer. Delete it?

When would I ever want to use this "printer?" Why not delete it? For me,
it just clutters up my printer selection .

I have a PDF converter that works for me; in fact a couple of them.

Why would anyone want to use this XPS Document Writer?

Err because it writes to XPS format? If you never use XPS format then just
remove the printer...

Because some people may not have a printer installed nor will they have
a pdf writer. XPS document writer creates documents that be opened in
browsers! Very good tool if you want to copy something from the web and
save in your flash drive. Peter foldes sister and mum were using this
tool before they started working as professional escorts to rich men.

XPS is Microsoft's attempt to displace Adobe from the marketplace.

Microsoft wantled to build the ability to display PDF files into Vista but
Adobe refused to licence them to do so as they feared that Microsoft would
apply their 'Embrace, Enhance, Extinguish) policy to PDF files.
