MS Works and Pocket PC

Hi,
I bought a Pocket PC (Dell Axim X5).

Quick question: On my home computer, I use Microsoft Works for my address
book. It's a database with a .wdb extension. I have 7 years of names and
addresses. Is there anyway to merge that to the Pocket PC? Some people
have suggested using the existing spreadsheet that comes with the PPC, but
it didn't read my fields. I've tried to convert the .wdb file to something
else (text & commas, text & tabs, etc) all to no avail. Is there any
program for the Pocket PC to read my MS Works address book (address.wdb)?

I'd hate to have to retype all 350 pages of my Works address book into the
PPC. There has to be a way to convert it.

Thank you in advance,
bob

You didn't mention which version of Works you are using.
I believe Works 7.0+ has built-in conduits for synchronizing
address books to the Pocket PC.

You might check AvantGo's website to see if they offer any
products to work with your current version of Works.

Um, I'm still using MS Works 95 with my home computer XP.
It does what I need it to do and didn't feel like upgrading.
If you're correct about Works 7.0, then I'll definitely upgrade.
Thanks for the tip.

Why are you here? This is an XP group. You are asking questions
about Works and a PPC. Nothing to do with the topic of the group.

Try asking in a relevant group.

I don't have to tell you this, but this newsgroup is
microsoft.public.windowsxp.general.
I use XP on my home computer (that's a Microsoft windows product)
I use Works on that computer (which is XP which is a Microsoft product).
I use a Pocket PC (which looks to be XP which is a Microsoft windows
product).
That's why I asked here.
PLUS, the guy who answered me in this newsgroup (which you say is the wrong
group), gave me the correct answer.
And I thank him and everyone else (including you) immensely.
