Hi MVPs,

I'd like to print a colored document from Word with the office Xerox
WorkCenter Pro 35 PS printer. I have no problem printing in black and white
to it, but I don't have to option to print in color. So my "print
properties" screen doesn't have a tab for that option, and I can't find that
option in any of the other print sub-menus or advanced tabs. Also couldn't
fix it with the Tools > Options menus. The same problem plagues me with
Excel, too.

However, Powerpoint will allow me to print in color since there is a
"Color/Grayscale" tab in the "print properties" screen.

What gives? Why wouldn't all of my Office applications share the same print
options?

Hi Dan,

What are you trying to do that simply printing the document on the b/w printer doesn't achieve? Any colour information in the file
is automatically converted to the corresponding greyscale values.

I don't want a print-out in grayscale, I'd like it in color. If the printer
and the driver on here are capable of printing in color for powerpoint, why
not in word or excel? Thanks (from me and my colleagues)

Hi Dan,

Have you checked the printer proerties from Word/Excel to make sure they're not being set to grayscale/black & white for those apps?
Have you tried repairing your Office installation (Help|Detect & Repair)?
