MS Word 2000 SR-1 won't work

I have un-installed and re-installed Word 2000 SR-1 and downloaded the
updates and MS Word starts up and just sits there. I am running windows ME.
Any ideas on what to do to get this working?

What do you mean it "just sits there"? That's pretty much what Word does
until you start creating a document. Or do you mean that it is hanging on
the splash screen? See

Thank you very much. This solved my probelm. Now I only wish I could find
a site to help solve my Epson Color 980 printer problem. I bought a new
cartridge and the printer seems like it's clogged or ? Anyway thanks again
and happy holidays.
