MS Windows XP/Excel 2002

I am looking into purchasing Excel 2002, however I am
unsure as to whether this is compatible with Windows XP
Home Edition. At Present my home computer runs Windows XP
Home Edition and Microsoft Works, however I would like to
install Excel. Does anyone know whether it is compatible?
I guess it is, although as it costs over £100.00 I am a
little hesitant.

Many thanks,

Scott

Hi Scott,
Excel 2002 is part of Office XP and is totally compatible with Windows XP.

Hi Scott!

Windows XP will run Excel 2002. No problems. Only question at present
is whether to wait for an offer that allows an upgrade to Excel 2003
which is due for release later this year.

Also question whether or not you would be better off buying Office
2002 rather than just Excel 2002. It really depends upon whether or
not you would use more than just Excel. If you would, then it's far
cheaper to get the Office Suite than to buy the components separately.

But don't just buy. Ask a few friends and workmates what they have
(and more to the point, what they actually use).

Hi Scott

One thing you may want ot look at is see if you can buy a copy of Office 97
cheap
It is fully compatable with XP and it should more than cover itself's cost if
you decide you really need to upgrade to a newer version of Office
