MS SideWinder Game Controller

I have the Win98 version of this product. Is there an XP version available for downloading? Should the Win98 version work? Thanks in advance.
 
Hi,

The Sidewinder game controller will work with Windows XP

Once in Windows XP goto the Game Controller Control Panel
Then Add, Microsoft Sidewinder (auto-detect)... to install the drivers.

As Gary said, Windows XP will automatically install the proper drivers for
you to use the controller. What you'll be losing is the ability to create
the "profiles" we used to have, but you can still do that within the games
themselves if they support such action. The problem with the game port
devices is (1) they're old and (2) the drivers were written in a .vxd format
which isn't supported on XP.
