MS\Picture it Publishing problem

Good evening Ladies and Gentlemen;

Am trying to view the gallery in MS Works Suite, Picture it Publishing but
am
getting a thumbnail with a latge X instead of a picture when clicking
connection\backgrounds. I have been able to get the feature previously and
have fully installed the required CD's (I think). I am not sure if this post
is clear enough for anyone to decipher, but if anyone can, and knows the
answer appreciate any help. Have checked out the help section but somehow am
not able to find the answer.

OS Windows Xp Home Ed. With 55% free space on 10GB HD.
