I downloaded from MS and successfully installed the Project Management Form
for Outlook 97/98. At the conclusion of the installation, a message appeared
giving instructions for how to open the form. But, the instructions do not
appear to be valid in Outlook 2003.

I very much want to be able to use this Form in Outlook 2003. Is there an
updated version of it somewhere else on the MS site? Or, do you have
instructions on how I may find and open the form which is installed?

Thank you!

There is no other version. What do the instructions say to do?

"Project Management sample application for Microsoft Outlook"

"Setup was completed successfully. The Project Management form has been
installed in the Microsoft Office\Office folder. To view it, start Outlook,
point to Open Special Folder on the File menu, and then click Personal
Folder."

And there's an OK button to click. Thanks for the quick reply!

In Outlook 2003, the command would be File | Open | Outlook Data File. Open the .pst file, then view its folders in the Folder List. On the Actions menu while in one of the folders, you'll probably find the form command.

When I do that, there are no .pst files in the default directory.

I used MS Explore to search for *.pst and no file was found that was either
created on the date when I ran the install program or with any name that
would bear a remote resemblance to the Project Management Form.

Any additional guidance is appreciated!

Have you enabled viewing hidden files and folders?

The default directory isn't where you need to look. According to the instructions, you need to look in Microsoft Office\Office. If it's not there, look in the subfolders or just search the Microsoft Office tree. Don't forget to turn on "show hidden and system files" in Windows Explorer if you want to search for .pst files.

I was able to see lots of other *.pst files. Just none with the date of
install or a name that looked anything like it had to do with Projects or
Project Management or Forms. In other wards, lots of .pst files with user
names on them but nothing that looked like what was just installed.

Hi Tony

After installing the program I found the file at the following

C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\OFFICE11\Project Management

Hope this helps

I don't know why I couldn't find it before. There it was waiting for me and
I have now opened it. Thank you all!
