MS outlook 2007 email defaults

Trevor

Hi,

I was using this prog with BT. Opened a Googlemail account which I wish to
use as default email. When I access a link on a website MS outlook opens and
I can send mail. When I receive mail, though, Googlemail receives it not MS
outlook!!! Can I rectify this or possibly it cannot be done?

Thanks

Where is it received now? What version of Outlook? I have Outlook sending
and receiving my gmail.

Neil,

Thanks for your reply.

I can send email using MS Outlook 2007 which came with Office 2007 no
problem using my Googlemail account. When I send to myself MS outlook never
shows the message being received, though Googlemail notifies and shows it no
problem. My wife likes MS Outlook and I would like to use it for
send/receive/contacts/appointments etc.

Any help appreciated.

Do you receive mail from other people, just not yourself? Are there any
error messages, did you check your junk folder or deleted folder?

Neil,

Iget:

No emails from anyone on Outlook but do on Google.

I can send no problem on Outlook.

I can send and receive using BT settings on Outlook but cannot receive using
Google. Google is received no probs in Gmail

You have set the POP option in Googlemail settings?

I have the exact same problem.

Outlook 2007 - Will send email fine but connot receive email for my gmail
account. When I run test account settings it all appears to go through ok
with no errors but the Outlook test message does not get downloaded to
google.

Why does this not flag an error? There was a similar issue in Outlook 2003
but an update from Microsoft solved that.
