I am running MS Office XP. On the shortcut bar there are buttons I want
removed.
I do the delete thing. They go away. I log off and shut down the computer.
When I start back up and log on, the deleted buttons reappear. Why? How do
I permanently remove them? Where are they stored?

You might want to ask this question in one of the Office newsgroups. This is
newsgroup is devoted to Microsoft Access databases. You are much more likely
to find an answer in a group devoted to your subject.
