MS .NET Framemaker 1.1

Folks,

I recently downloaded MS Framermaker 1.1 onto my XP box.
Ever since I've downloaded it the box is slow to respond
to commands and sounds like it's CPU is working when it
should'nt be.

Does this sound familiar? if so, how can I fix it without
removing it? I need it installed to run my monitor
application.
