MS investigates hiding it's head in the sand!

To see the exploit at work:

Now think of all the people that opened up fake MS E-mails. Gave out
their EBay, & PayPal info.

Do you think even more people will scammed out of their money, info, or
a virus-free computer? But MS is only considering patching it, saying
it hasn't noticed any "notable customer impact."

"Trustworthy computing" is truly a big effin' joke on consumers, if MS
doesn't patch this up ASAP!

Oops! Forgot to change out of my "Taunting of Bruce Chambers" garb.
I'm feeling much more like myself now.

Stupid people should not play with fire, explosives, credit
cards, cars, knives, guns, or computers.

Microsoft is the victim of identity theft as much as eBay
and PayPal. It would be nice if the crooks in the world
would include a "legal disclaimer" in the subject line such
as "This is fraud, reply at your own risk"

Perhaps there should be a law that requires all ISPs to give
a test to all users about security and common-sense. Don't
pass and you can't connect.

BTW, Watching Fox Football and they are running ads for the
Paris Hilton TV show, something about city girls in
Arkansas. She sure is a skinny slut, she'd have to pay me.

And how is that gonna happen, concentration camps & genocide? And who
is gonna decide who's too stupid to exercise their civil rights?
Microsoft is the victim of identity theft as much as eBay
and PayPal.

Well, didn't I mention the fake MS e-mail's? You'd think they'd have
more than enough incentive to fix this ASAP just so it's not used
against them in another kind of scam.
It would be nice if the crooks in the world
would include a "legal disclaimer" in the subject line such
as "This is fraud, reply at your own risk"

It would be nice if MS rewrote their fraudulent PA message, "According
to our records, the number of times you can activate Windows with this
product key has been exceeded," when there is supposed to be no limit to
the number of times you can activate Windows XP. But that hasn't
happened in over 2 years!
Perhaps there should be a law that requires all ISPs to give
a test to all users about security and common-sense. Don't
pass and you can't connect.

Since that would probably eliminate about 90% of their customers, I
don't they are all that likely to implement that kind of testing. They
tried that kind of thing in the south in the mid-20th century to try to
keep African-Americans from exercising their right to vote. I don't
think most people, that cherish freedom, would be likely to agree with
your rather fascist views of getting the internet under control.
BTW, Watching Fox Football and they are running ads for the
Paris Hilton TV show, something about city girls in
Arkansas. She sure is a skinny slut, she'd have to pay me.

Please! Any woman that doesn't know what a well is for, will buy the "I
thought that was the right hole" story!

Hi

It has got some focus at Microsoft it seems, at least it is a starting point:

Steps that you can take to help identify and to help protect yourself from
deceptive (spoofed) Web sites

Of course the left out the easiest way to make sure. Don't use IE as
your default web browser.
