MS firewall

A Downloader trojan recently destroyed my firewall unleashing hordes of
malware. At Security Center I get message that settings can't be displayed
because assoc. services are not running. When I try to activate, I get
message of unidentified problem preventing display. I tried "netsh firewall
reset restart". I have another firewall up temporarily, but would like to
restore MS. Any clues?
