Howard

In my version of windows 98, I have the ability to go
into MS DOS and delte cookies, history and temp files by
using, deltree-space-cookies, deltree-space-history and
deltree-space-tempor~... In XP or Windows 2000, this
string command is not recognized. Deltree is a bad
command. Can someone tell me what the correct command
string is, while in MS DOS mode withing XP or Windows
2000....?

Thanks...

Type RD /? for help. Deltree still works and is a bit more flexable. Though you can't do what you want for other reasons.

Howard, Deltree.exe needs to be copied into the XP - Windows\system32 directory, from your Win98 disk.
It still works like you used to use it.

Also go to Control panel and double click Internet options, you can delete cookies, temp files and history there.

Copy the file into the path, normally either c:\windows and c:\windows\system32.
