MS DOS prompt window

Does anyone know if it is possible to play dos games in a window on your
desktop? I can run the command prompt in a window but as soon as I start a
game it fills the screen.

Try right-clicking a shortcut to the game and select 'properties'. Adjust
the item on the 'Screen' tab to run the program in a window. Whether the
program can run windowed and if it will run correctly that way is probably
dependent upon the game. You might try looking for more info at

You may need to use VDMSound or DOSBox in order to get your "true" DOS games
to have access to you sound card.
