MS-DOS program freezes in full screen mode

Peter

When i run a ms-dos based program in a windows the
program works fine. But when i switch with alt-enter to
full screen mode the program freezes. Even when i switch
back with alt-enter to a window. The only way to exit the
program is to use ctrl-alt del.
I have run the program on a other machine but then it
worked fine even in full screen mode.
What is wrong here?

Hi, Peter.

Right-click on the icon or program name you use to start the program, then
click Properties. (If you click on the icon, you may also need to click
Find Target... to get to the right screen.) Then compare the settings for
Font, Memory, Screen, etc., between the two machines. You may need to
experiment and use trial-and-error to find the best settings on your
computer.

It would help greatly if you did not make a secret of which of the many
thousands of MS-DOS programs it might be; there are often people here
who have specific experience setting up some older program under XP.

Short of that, the thing I'd check first is the idle sensitivity setting.
