MS-DOS Problem (Expert help only please)

Ok heres a hard one, I seem to have quite a uncommon problem, When i play dos
games such as kings quest, police quest, leisure suit larry,exc..., The text
in the game is all corrupted, its not the the games i am using because i had
no problems with these before, There seems to be very little on the web too,

I found a link with this problem but no solution or help,

Maybe your VGA BIOS has no 8x14 font. This should help:

As Windows XP does NOT have DOS (only a dos EMULATOR) then you take
pot luck as to whether a legacy dos application will run.

Uwe thanks for the link, iv downloaded the 2 small programs, it provids a
visual inspection test, Which my machine fails, And it says i need to install
FIX8X1, but how i have no idear, could you help please,

Boot to a PC running MS-DOS for best results running MS-DOS games.

thanks for the help but they ran fine before using just windows, but now this
corrupt text is a nightmare, anyone else know how i can fix this please?

Fix what?
You need to include the message that you are replying to.
If you can't make the effort to include the message that you are replying
