MS-Dos compatibility mode drivers

Drive C is using MS-DOS compatibility mode drivers instead
of Real mode drivers, performace is reduced according to
the message in my performace tab in system properties?!?!?
Is their a way to fix this??

You received this message using XP? That message would definitely
pop up in Win9X if your hard drive used MS DOS drivers rather than the
standard real mode drivers.

What OS are you running and what type of hard drive?

Are you sure you are running XP? XP makes *no* provision for any real
mode drivers and does not fall back on an MSDOSS compatibility mode in
any way I have ever heard of
