Gentlemen, sorry that no expert has felt qualify to answer this real
question, but please excuse my persistence.
I just successfully installed the WinColorSetup applet.
in two computers, one of them brand new.
Yet, when attempt execution, nothing happened in either.
Not sure why.
I was suggested to look in:
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/using/digitalphotography/prophoto/performance_counter.mspx

After reading the info I check in three computers with XP (2 Pro, 1 Home).
None of then have the DisablePerformanceCounters item mentioned at the
Registry Key location specified by the article:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\PerfProc\Performance.
Should it be created? or perhaps something must be activated that will
create such key, as well as others relevant ones?
This being a power toy, there is no help from MS.
Please kindly advice.
Cheers

The only thing I can think of is that you don't mention what service pack
version you have. The Color Control Panel Applet requires SP2. If you
don't have that update, I suggest you install it, perhaps that regkey does
not exist below SP2. If you do have that update already, I suggest
downloading all updates from Windows Update, uninstalling the applet,
downloading it again and then installing.

Let us know how that goes.

Thanks,
