my daughter is in college and got this blaster worm on xp
pro and it wont let me start up at all , safe mode either
anybody know how to fix this

.Thanks Nutcase but the machine keeps shutting down
before I can get to start menu or any thing , I've tried

If your computer is constantly attempting to shutdown
or reboot, quickly go to:

Start > Run and type: CMD , and hit enter.
This opens the Command Prompt window.

Then type: shutdown -a , and hit enter.

This should halt the rebooting problem.

Then immediately turn-on Windows XP's built-in Firewall:

How do I turn on the Firewall?

You can also disconnect your computer from the internet connection before
boot up.
