My auto updater will not stay "switched on", and besides that it is not
sufficiently user friendly as i can not guarantee to be always on the
internet at a pre-required time, ie 0800 hrs.
What is needed is a broad-brush time facility, ie "whenever switched on
between 0800-1000"would serve as a good example.
The basic package needs altering.

Good points--and altered it will be in beta2, which will be available by
March 31 of this year.

You can manually update via File, Check for updates at any time, of course.
