MS Access References

There are probably 100+ References listed under the "Tools", "References"
menu option. Is there any guide that explains each reference utility? Any
guidance as to which ones I should use as a standard? I am using Access 2002
with VB 6.3.

Thanks.

The actual references depend on what other software you have on your
computer.

Most of them are irrelevant. You want to use as few as possible, because
*any* reference that is missing (e.g. if you move your database to another
computer, uninstall some software, or even change the version of one of the
components as part of an update), *none* of your code runs!

For a description of the basic references for each version of Access, see:

In addition to what Allen's already told you, those aren't really "Access
References". It's a listing of all COM objects installed on your
workstation, whether or not you can use them with Access. Since the list is
strictly dependent on what software has been installed, and since the
installed software may not be Microsoft software, I doubt very much you'll
find a complete list anywhere.
