MrxSmb

OK...I've seen multiple postings to this newsgroup with the same MrxSmb issues, but have not seen possible resolutions to this particular problem. I am receiving event ID: 3034; Source: MrxSmb with last dword entry of c000006d; Description: The redirector was unable to initialize security context or query context attributes.

I am currently running Windows 2000 5.00.2195 SP4. The errors are occurring in multiples of three at various times of the day and this is happening only on my secondary server. Also, the multiple errors started occurring more frequently since I loaded SP4...but again, my primary server is also running SP4 and is not generating these errors. I have exhausted my research for possible resolutions thru the MS website as well as other sites I have searched with articles relating to this issue and all I have found is that "MrxSmb errors indicate a serious problem"...very helpful, huh? I sure could use some extra brain power out there if you can spare...ha ha! Could this be a NIC issue? Or just software?

Thanks in advance for your help!

I am not sure if this helps, but the c000006d code means the following, User
logon has incorrect user name.

Can you tie this error to a specific client action? Then you might be able
to find a username.
