unable to browse network

When I attempt to browse the network (W2K A/D domain) via
My Network Places, UNC path in the run command, or net use
in command prompt I recieve following error: "There are
currently no logon servers available to service your
request". Event viewer showing multiple instances of Event
ID 3034, Source-MrxSmb, "The redirector was unable to
initialize security context or query context attributes".
Problem first surfaced when I was unable to add users to
share permissions. Error message: "no authority could be
contacted for authentication". Can ping servers & other
hosts in domain just fine. Any thoughts?

This is usually a name resolution (DNS) issue. See:

Most often the the DC that is hosting DNS for AD is not pointing to itself
for DNS and client workstations are pointing to an ISP DNS server for DNS
