This keeps occuring and knocking out some critical system
functions.

The master browser has received a server announcement from
the computer DESKTOP2 that believes that it is the master
browser for the domain on transport NetBT_T cpip_(0D5730DC-
7732-3E20-. The master browser is stopping or an election
is being forced.

I have lost the notes how to stop these elections. I wish
Microsoft would have left this as an option to turn on if
we need it. And of course the only info available puts a
cramp in our network and is not workable. Can someone
help me out?

Is netbeui an absolute requirement for your network? It seems to me the
easiest way to eliminate browser elections is to use a routed protocol.
