MPEG2 into Powerpoint

I have some mpeg2 files I wish to play in Powerpoint. I have done it before
and I am sure in same format but when I import from "insert movie file" I
just get a black box and they dont play. Have also noticed that some of them
dont display as thumbnails in explorer either. They play fine in Windows
Media Player but not in mplay32.exe. Have I saved them in wrong format or is
something else wrong. I recently did a windows reinstall. Maybe the MCI
setup? Any help greatly appreciated.
