mpeg in powerpoint

i am operating Powerpoint 2003 on Windows 2000 Professional. I have inserted
an mpeg and have the mpeg in the folder with the presentation, but it won't
run. i can see the opening frame, but when i try to run the slideshow the
screen blinks and goes white. The thing is, I have done this before with one
other mpeg and it works fine. Not sure when I'm doing wrong this time.

See the tips at http://www.echosvoice.com/tshoot_video2.htm. It sounds like the
path to your MPG may be too long. Try moving your folder to, for example,
C:\folder and delete the video file and then insert it again, this time pointing
to its new location. Let us know if the video then runs for you in Slide Show
mode.
