MP760 Condensation Under Glass?

Jeff

I've got a Canon Pixma MP760. It's about 6 months old. There seems to be
what looks like slight condensation on the underside of glass. It's very
obvious on the left edge, where the warm scanner light is always on, and
for a about an inch or so to the right. As I look more to the right, I can
see a slight fog, but it disappates the farther to the right I look.

Could this be moisture? Is there anything I can do?

This happened to an Epson CX5200 that I had, but it clogged so I never
cared to follow up. I do, however, still use the Epson as a scanner.

I imagine there is something you can do, but this is the sort of thing
that you should talk to canon about first. This isn't to dismiss your
legit claim for advice, simply put the warranty is pretty good, this is
an odd symptom to have that might be associated to another problem all
together.

My replacement of my mp760 was painless... phone call, walked me
through some idiot steps. They made sure to check to see if my head
was blocked (from my understanding if you can't pull your head they
give you a new printer or at least one with a head and inks, but if not
then they give you a base printer and your expected to exchange your
head. It's fair). Shipped 2 day air and free postage back.

Talking to canon = less work for you and far less likely for something
to go wrong. It's a win win situation.
