MP3 Naming

M

Michelle

I have about 20 gigs of MP3's. I want to load them on my
iPod. The problem is this. It can not seperate for genre.
I think it might have something to do my file nameing.
Curently each file is named "Artist-Album-Title".
Is this the problem? Even Windows Media and Real Player
do not recognize Genre.
Any help would be great ;-)

The ID3 tags have nothing to do with the filename. Do the files even have genre
tags? If not, you will have to tag each file, with the genre of your choice.
Luckily, there is software, such as Tag&Rename that can tag an entire album's
worth of files with one click. Tag&Rename offers a free 30 day trial. That
should give you enough time to properly tag everything. Feel free to contact me
via e-mail if yo need help.

You can also do edit the tags in iTunes, by using "CRTL + I".
