Moving Windows Mail messages from my Laptop to my Desktop

I am trying to consolidate my mail by importing mail from my laptop WM6 to my
desktop also WM6. I have exported the files from laptop and tried moving them
to a folder on the desktop and also accessing them directly over my wireless
network. When I open Import on the desktop it only gives me Outlook or WM7 as
file types and when I choose WM7 and select the folder there are no files
displayed in the folder. when I look at the folder in Explorer it has files
with a .eml extension.

See this page: http://www.oehelp.com/backup.aspx

Most likely it is the sent items that you need to move over, since you will
have both machines set up to receive all your mail on to each.

You might consider purchasing OEX from here, (not spam, it just does the job
easier) read on - http://www.oehelp.com/OEX/Default.aspx
