moving Vista ultimate to new SATA drive (added as second HDD)

I'm sure the answer to this is already here. Somewhere. But can't find it.
So I'm simply looking to move my current install of Vista Ultimate to a
second new SATA drive I will add to my PC.

So can I simply make an image file of the current C drive, then load that
image on the SATA and make it the primary partition?

Mainly, will there be any authentication/validation issues since I've moved
the OS to the new HDD??

Thanks bro

tommyg - stick with the newsgroup - usually you will receive advice related
to your post.

The HD kit should include an install DVD/CD with instructions on "cloning"
the current HD to the new.

don't have the cloning software with this Newegg purchase.
But your answer suggests any cloned version placed on the new drive should
do it...
Or not?

And bro... i should have explained, is shorthand for "best responders
organization"
