I am setting this spreadsheet up for our operators I need something tha
takes no thought from there sid
 
Only first approach:
Range("A1:A6,B6,C7,D8").Select
Range("A1").Activate
ActiveWorkbook.Names.Add Name:="test", RefersToR1C1:= _
