Moving the Start up Menu and Task bar...

How do I move the bar to the bottom of the screen?
Its now on the right side.

Right-click on an empty area of the taskbar, and on the ensuing context menu
ensure that the option "Lock the taskbar" is not checked.
You should now be able to drag the taskbar to any edge of the screen with
the left mouse button.
 
R-click the task bar and uncheck lock the task bar then drag the bar to the
bottom of the screen and relock the bar.

Ah, you're welcome!

And may I just say (dropping into bitter and crabby mode here - I blame the
cold weather).. it's a pleasant surprise to find someone who has the
