Hi,
I would like to have my Shared Documents on a separate harddisk; as it is so
big that it consumes all of my c: drive.
How do you do this?

Niklas

Yes. Here is a script:
http://groups.google.com/group/microsoft.public.windowsxp.general/msg/313e1e11e5bee073

To accomplish this manually, open Regedit.exe and navigate to:

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\User
Shell Folders]

Set the "Common Documents" path accordingly.

Close Regedit.exe

Create the target folder if not already exists, and move all your data
there.

Ramesh,

Great; but now I am not only very careful; I am also not that skilled. So to
confirm:
I should rename this value in regedit:
....
[User Shell Documents]
[Common Documents]
WAS: %ALLUSERSPROFILE%\Dokument
TO: D:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Delade dokument (this is the path I
want).

Running the script looks very dangerous...

Niklas

%ALLUSERSPROFILE%

Which is nothing but:

C:\Documents and Settings\All Users

Why? Not at all. Otherwise I would not have recommended it.
